Three Keys That Consumers Demand of a Beef Eating Experience- Taste, Tenderness and Consistency

Tue, 20 Mar 2012 08:49:39 CDT

Three Keys That Consumers Demand of a Beef Eating Experience- Taste, Tenderness and Consistency Bridget Wasser, senior director of meat science technology for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, contractor to the Beef Checkoff Program, says the industry has been tracking beef tenderness for 20 years. Why is this important? Wasser says consumers may be willing to pay a premium for guaranteed-tender meat products. She adds that for consumers- there are three keys that must be met to help them have a great beef eating experience- taste, tenderness and consistency.

We talk about tenderness and today's beef consumer with Bridget Wasser on today's Beef Buzz.

The Beef Buzz is a regular feature heard on radio stations around the region on the Radio Oklahoma Network- but is also a regular audio feature found on this website as well.
