Top Winners in Commercial Cattle Grading Contest at Southern Plains Farm Show

Top Winners in Commercial Cattle Grading Contest at Southern Plains Farm Show Grading of Commercial Cattle was the focus of the contest held on Thursday on the opening day of the Southern Plains Farm Show. A total of $6,300 in scholarship committments were handed out to contestants of this event, with over 260 participating this year.

Our pictures here include the High Individual of the Event- Marco Ortiz from Hulbert FFA, who received the Rick Jones Memorial Scholarship of $2,000 for his efforts. Our top here is of Marco receiving his certificate for the Scholarship.

Our pictures below include the Top Team in Scoring for the FFA Division that came from the Nowata FFA. Members include Hannah Allen, Katie Bell and John Franke. Top 4-H Individual was Tyler Compton of Wyandotte 4-H- his picture is next and finally, we have the picture of the top placing team in the 4-H Division that came from Rogers County 4-H. Team members include Erick Welch, Michaela Branen, Lyndee Branen and Reighly Blakely.
