Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 07/23/2014

Receipts: 3787     Last Week: 5355     Year Ago: 6121

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 5.00-7.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded 7.00-10.00 higher on few comparable sales. Steer and heifer calves 7.00-10.00 higher in a light test. Demand was good to very good. Hot and humid weather conditions dominate the forecast this week, with triple digit heat expected for the weekend. Supply included 87 percent over 600 lbs and 28 percent heifers.
