Oklahoma National Stockyards - Close Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 03/02/2015

   


Actual Receipts: 1,211     Last Monday: 3,999     Year Ago Monday: 2,203

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers too lightly tested for a market trend. Receipts are light this week due to a cold front bringing snow and ice into the state late last week and through the weekend. Quality was mostly plain, with most cattle being full and fleshy. Supply included 82 percent over 600 lbs. and 22 percent heifers.

   
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 500-550 lbs 265.50-270.50; Yearlings: 600-650 lbs 236.00-243.00; 700-725 lbs 205.00-210.00; 750-800 lbs 199.00-206.75, full 189.00; 800-850 lbs 196.50-204.00; 850-900 lbs 188.25-190.00, full 180.50; 900-975 lbs 173.50-178.35.
   
Medium and Large 1-2: 400-450 lbs 292.50-298.00; 500-550 lbs 255.00-259.00, full 240.00; 600-650 lbs 232.00-236.00; 650-700 lbs 205.00-215.00; 725-775 lbs 203.75-211.50; 850-900 lbs 174.25-183.00.
   
Medium and Large 2: 775-800 lbs 190.00-192.00; pkg 875 lbs 172.50; 900-925 lbs 165.00-170.00.
