Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 9/28/2016

Receipts: 7,083     Week ago:   6,079    Year ago: 5,051

    Compared to last week, Feeder steers and heifers sold 8.00-10.00 lower Steer and heifer calves traded 5.00-10.00 lower. Demand light to moderate. Quality plain to attractive. Cooler and more Fall like temps have came across the trade area bring some much needed moisture. Feeder supply included 53 percent Steers, 45 percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 66 percent.

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: pkg 390 lbs 154.00; 445-500 lbs 141.00-150.00, thin fleshed 154.00; 500-550 lbs 134.50, 535-600lbs fleshy 126.50-131.00; 600-700 lbs 115.00-132.25; Yearlings: 625-700 lbs 126.50-136.50; 700-775 lbs 129.75-136.75; 800-900 lbs 124.00-133.20; pkg 960 lbs 120.00; load 1075 lbs 115.00.
   Medium and Large 1-2: pkg 425 lbs fleshy 124.00; 450-500 lbs 126.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs 124.50-137.00, Fleshy 123.50-126.00; 700-800 lbs 125.00-131.50; 815-900 lbs 119.00-125.70.
   Medium and Large 2: String 480 lbs fleshy 114.00; pkg 530 lbs 127.00; pkg 690 lbs calves 110.00; 780-785 lbs 118.50-123.00;800-860 lbs 110.00-115.00.

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 124.00-135.00;500-600 lbs 118.50-131.00, fleshy 116.00-119.00; 600-700 lbs 119.00-123.75; Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 125.25-131.00; 700-775 lbs 121.00-125.50 825-860 lbs 117.00-119.50.
