Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 02/20/2017

   Actual Receipts: 8,333     Last Week: 8,286    Year ago: 7,919

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers mostly steady to 1.00 higher, 950 weights 3.00 higher. Feeder heifers mostly 1.00 higher, but light 600 weights 3.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves steady to 3.00 lower with limited comparable receipts. Demand moderate to good. Quality mostly plain to attractive. A much needed rain shower swept across the trade area overnight and unseasonably warm temperatures are expected throughout the week. Feeder supply included 62 percent Steers, 1 percent Holstein Steers, 35 percent Heifers, and 2 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 75 percent.
