OSU's Kim Anderson Talks WASDE Numbers on This Weekend's SUNUP The May 2018 WASDE report from USDA provided lots of information for Dr. Kim Anderson to digest and recap for this weekend's SUNUP Program- he reviewed the domestic and global figures that USDA provided as he talked markets with Lyndal Stout- you can watch his segment this weekend or you can hear his comments right now by clicking on the LISTEN BAR at the bottom of this story.

Besides the weekly "Kim Anderson explains all" in the grain marketing world- the SUNUP crew provides us with the following lineup of what will be on this week's program:

They start with the debate: to seed or to sprig bermudagrass in pastures. Alex Rocateli says there are benefits to both, but now is the optimal time.

In the Mesonet Weather Report, Al Sutherland explains how deep plants will have to go to find moisture. Gary McManus says the days of 90-plus degree temperatures are adding up and they could impact the direction drought will move across the state.

Then, Rodney Jones walks us through an online farm management tool designed to help producers make financial decisions.

In Cow-Calf Corner, Glenn Selk explains how daytime temperatures can impact artificial insemination conception rates in cattle.

Kim Anderson breaks down the latest WASDE report.

In Food Whys, Chuck Willoughby explains why we eat seaweed more often than we think.

Finally, we learn how a Payne County veterinarian took agriculture to a pre-school reading level.
