Senate Ag Leaders Roberts and Stabenow's Bipartisanship Commended by Farmers Co-op Council

Wed, 13 Jun 2018 10:56:07 CDT

Senate Ag Leaders Roberts and Stabenow's Bipartisanship Commended by Farmers Co-op Council The following statement was released by the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives on the Senate Agriculture Committee Farm Bill Markup:

“NCFC commends Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts for holding a markup today on the 2018 farm bill. The bipartisan legislation, crafted by Chairman Roberts and Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow, is critical to strengthening the ability of America’s farmers and ranchers to sustain their operations in a market that continues to see persistent low prices.

“The bill brings together a bipartisan and regionally diverse coalition in the Senate and is supported by a broad group of stakeholders across the country. We believe that once the Committee completes its markup this morning, the full Senate should take up the farm bill without delay. NCFC looks forward to working with lawmakers pass a farm bill that benefits all Americans.”
