Feeder Steers Trade Mostly 2.00-3.00 Lower, Heifers Sell 5.00-8.00 Lower Wednesday at OKC West OKC West - El Reno, OK
Livestock Weighted Average Report for 10/9/2018 - 10/10/2018

Total Receipts:       4,868

Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded mostly 2.00-3.00 lower feeder
heifers sold 5.00-8.00 lower, however all classes of short weaned feeders up to
10.00 lower. Weather across all major feeding regions have feedlots full of
mud and not at all eager to fill pen space.   Demand light to moderate.   Steer
and heifer calves were lightly tested this week due to continuous rainfall
hampering livestock movement, however a lower undertone is noted. Quality
average to attractive. Demand moderate to good for calves. Heavy rainfall and
storms are expected for the remainder of the week. Feeder cattle supply
included 45 percent Steers, 54 percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder
