Cierra Collins of Tillman County 4-H- Sells Oklahoma Youth Expo Grand Champion Steer for $85,000

The 2019 Oklahoma Youth Expo is in the record books- including another tremendous Sale of Champions. A total of seventy one Market Steers were a part of the Sale- and the top Market Steer for 2019 was shown and owned by Cierra Collins of Tillman County 4-H. It was the second year in a row that the Grand Champion Steer came from Tillman County. This year's steer- the Champion Chianina- sold for $85,000. A consortium that included the Bank of Western Oklahoma, AFR, Livestock Nutrition Center, McAfee & Taft, Express Ranches, OKC Chamber, BancFirst, LNL Farm Supply, Frazier Bank and the Mavericks purchased the 2019 Steer- the first animal sold in the Sale of Champions.
The Reserve Grand Champion Steer was shown by Sadie Wynne of Newcastle 4-H- this year's Reserve Grand was the Champion Hereford- it sold for $30,000. The Bronze Medallion Steer was shown by Timber Mefford of Tllman County 4-H and sold for $18,000- Timber's Steer was the Champion Crossbred.
