Congressman Lucas Welcomes New Legislative Director Alison Slagell

Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) recently named Alison Slagell to serve as his Legislative Director in his Washington, D.C. office. Slagell, a native of Hydro, Oklahoma, and Weatherford Public Schools Alumna graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2015 from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Serving as Legislative Director, Alison oversees all legislative initiatives while also advising Congressman Frank Lucas on policy positions and the development of policy.
"Alison has spent her entire time in Washington, D.C. helping the people of Oklahoma's Third Congressional District and advocating on behalf of Oklahoma's values," said Lucas. "From her time working on her family farm in Hydro to serving as my agriculture legislative assistant, Alison knows firsthand how important farming is to the way of life of thousands of Oklahomans, including those in the Third District and myself. From being there with me as I signed the 2018 Farm Bill to now, Alison is a dedicated public servant who truly represents the best of Oklahoma."
Previously, Alison Slagell served as the Legislative Assistant advising Congressman Lucas on agriculture, trade, judiciary, immigration, energy, and environmental issues. She is the daughter of Dennis and Candace Slagell of Hydro.
