Steers and Heifers Lower at Joplin Regional Stockyards on Monday

Compared to last week, steers and heifers 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Demand moderate to light, supply moderate. Difficult to find good news, but the DJIA showed an impressive run up. Live Cattle closed on the positive side with the exception of the April and June contracts, Feeder Cattle futures closed higher. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (61% Steers, 37% Heifers, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 46%.
