Steer and Heifer Calves Lower, Yearlings Steady to Lower at Joplin Regional Stockyards on Monday

***MID-SESSION/CLOSE*** Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves 2.00 to 5.00 lower, few steady, yearlings steady to 2.00 lower. Demand and supply moderate. The USDA Cattle On Feed report showed 102 percent On Feed, 111 percent Placements, 99 percent Marketed. Placements numbers much larger than early estimates. Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures closed with double and triple digits losses. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (51% Steers, 42% Heifers, 7% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 58%.
