Beef Checkoff Returns to Hallmark Channel for the Holidays
Wed, 24 Nov 2021 08:04:58 CST
There is no place like the Hallmark Channel on television for the holidays. Each season, starting the day after Thanksgiving millions tune in for the network's Countdown to Christmas. This year the National Cattlemen's Beef Association is running more than 120 beef ads on the Hallmark Channel.
KC Sheperd, associate farm director for Radio Oklahoma Ag Network caught up with Clay Burtrum, federation division chair for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, last week at the National Association of Farm Broadcasters Convention to see what the association has cooked up for the holidays and beyond.
"You are not going to see the Drool Log this year," Burtrum said. "We have something new and fresh which tells people how beef is the most nutritious, wholesome product on the plate this year."
Last year, the Beef Checkoff returned to television, on the Hallmark Channel, with its Beef Drool Log commercial after a 17-year hiatus. The campaign saw huge success. Naturally, following the holiday season is NASCAR season. The Beef. It's What's For Dinner. 300 is set to wow fans in mid-February as the future stars of NASCAR take on the sport's biggest names in a 300-mile race.
Aside from holiday cheer and NASCAR excitement, the NCBA remains focused on issues like sustainability, reaching younger generations and more.
