As 2022 sits on the horizon, so do the many opportunities curated by the second annual Cattlemen's Congress show. Set to take place January 1-16, 2022, Cattlemen's Congress will incur thousands of visitors to Oklahoma City during the start of the new year.
Formed in 2021, Cattlemen's Congress is a show designed for cattlemen, managed by cattlemen. The 2022 Cattlemen's Congress welcomes visitors to the heart of cattle country for this new tradition of cattle shows, sales and more.
Cattlemen's Congress Executive Vice President Bray Haven says "The Inaugural year was a resounding success and we are excited to welcome everyone back for the 2nd Annual Cattlemen's Congress."
The Cattlemen's Congress continues to prove its status as the largest and most elite cattle show in the world. More than 2,500 individual exhibitors entered more than 9,200 head of cattle for the 2022 event..
Furthermore, the show continues to reach far and wide with representation expected from 46 states as well as Canada and Mexico.
In its inaugural year, Cattlemen's Congress resulted in a record-breaking $50 million impact to the state's economy with $10 million resulting from cattle sales.
For 2022, Cattlemen's Congress looks to continue providing one-of-a-kind opportunities for cattlemen and women by means of 20 scheduled cattle sales with an anticipated 1,500 or more lots of the newest cattle genetics available.
"We broke multiple records in our inaugural year and the momentum is still here," Haven said. "With resounding support from the city of Oklahoma City, the State of Oklahoma and their officials and the agriculture industry, Cattlemen's Congress is truly the gathering place of an industry."
