2022 Cattlemen's Congress Sales Reach New Heights

Fri, 21 Jan 2022 13:55:12 CST

2022 Cattlemen's Congress Sales Reach New Heights A lasting legacy ensues as 2022 sales numbers are up from the previous year.

Sunday marked the conclusion of the second annual Cattlemen's Congress, but the impact is far from over as the total number of cattle shown and sale numbers have all increased from last year's show in Oklahoma City.

The amount of sales hosted and the revenue generated climbed to new heights this year. 13 sales were hosted at the OKC Fairgrounds, and 9 were held off-site during the 2022 Cattlemen's Congress, resulting in 22 total sales generating more than $10 million during the 16 day show period.

Additionally, the 2022 show had over 9,000 head of cattle entered with more breeds represented than ever before. Additionally, the amount of cattle shown this year increased by more than 500 head when compared to last year.

"These numbers show that this really is the meeting place for cattlemen and women across the world," said Cattlemen's Congress Chairman of the Board, Jarold Callahan. "The positive impact proves to be undeniable, and we are humbled to host so many here in the heart of cattle country."

With exhibitors from 44 states and Canadian provinces, as well as international guests from across the world, the amount of visitors continues to grow and bring more people to Oklahoma City.

"It is critical for us to go where cattlemen come to find their next herd sire or line of genetics that will advance their herd," said Ty Miller, CEO of Ty Miller Solutions. "The past two years at Cattlemen's Congress we've exhibited and displayed cattle and we've experienced traffic and interest from breeders and cattlemen we've never seen before. We've sold cattle across the country because people found our genetics here in OKC."

The 3rd Annual Cattlemen's Congress is set to be held January 1 through the 14, 2023 in Oklahoma City. For the latest information regarding the Cattlemen's Congress, visit cattlemenscongress.com.
