Feeder Steers and Heifers Lower, Steer and Heifer Calves Lopwer at Oklahoma National Stockyards on Monday Oklahoma National Stockyards Feeder Cattle - Oklahoma City, OK
Mon Mar 7, 2022

AUCTION
This Week            11,000
Last Reported       5,458
Last Year              13,686

***Close***
Compared to last week's light test: Feeder steers 4.00 - 6.00 lower. Feeder Heifers 5.00 - 8.00 lower. Steer calves 4.00 - 6.00 lower. Heifer calves 6.00 - 9.00 lower. Cattle futures sold off sharply last week as grain futures(wheat leading the way) made big gains. Today, maybe some of the bleeding has stopped as cattle futures are trading in the green. With sharply rising fuel prices, cattle delivery cost are on the rise further contributing to the lower market trend. Some moisture did fall over the weekend, but high winds are quickly erasing the moisture that is needed. Quality has been plain thru attractive. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (61% Steers, 39% Heifers, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 61%.
