U.S. Corn Crop Planting Complete as of Sunday, June 26

U.S. corn planting has wrapped up while as of Sunday, June 26, USDA reported in its weekly Crop Progress report released Monday. Cotton planting has also wrapped up, but condition suffers due to lack of moisture.
Nationwide Corn:
Corn silking for the 18 states that planted the majority of 2021 acreage is calculated at 4 percent, event with last year and the average.
Corn conditions for the U.S. are rated 67 percent good to excellent, 25 percent fair and 8 percent poor to very poor.
Nationwide Cotton:
Cotton squaring for the 15 states that planted 99 percent of the 2012 cotton acreage is measured at 33 percent, even with the average and 3 points ahead of last year.
Cotton condition is rated at 37 percent good to excellent, 33 percent fair and 30 percent poor to very poor.
Nationwide Sorghum:
Sorghum planted is at 99 percent for the 6 states planted, which is equal with last year and the average.
Sorghum conditions are rated 43 percent good to excellent, 39 percent fair and 18 percent poor to very poor.
Nationwide Winter Wheat:
As of Sunday, 41 percent of the nation's winter wheat has been harvested. This is 6 percentage points ahead of the average and 10 points ahead of last year.
Winter wheat conditions are rated at 30 percent good to excellent, 27 percent fair and 43 percent poor to very poor.
Nationwide Pasture and Range:
Pasture and range conditions for the 48 selected states in the report are rated 31 percent good to excellent, 26 percent fair and 43 percent poor to very poor.

Oklahoma:
Winter wheat harvested is at 90 percent, up 14 percentage points from last year and up 8 points from the average. Wheat conditions for Oklahoma in include 14 percent good to excellent, 30 percent fair and 56 percent poor to very poor.
Canola harvested reached 73 percent, up 7 points from the previous year but down 3 points from normal.
Rye harvested reached 72 percent, up 15 points from the previous year but unchanged from normal.
Oats headed reached 95 percent, unchanged from the previous year but up 3 points from normal. Oats harvested reached 37 percent, unchanged from the previous year but down 1 point from normal.
Corn emerged reached 97 percent, up 3 points from the previous year and up 2 points from normal. Corn silk reached 18 percent, up 4 points from the previous year but unchanged from normal.
Sorghum planted reached 76 percent, down 2 points from the previous year and down 4 points from normal. Sorghum condition is rated 55 percent good to excellent, 40 percent fair and 5 percent poor to very poor.
Soybeans planted reached 75 percent, up 11 points from the previous year but unchanged from normal. Soybeans emerged reached 57 percent, up 18 points from the previous year but unchanged from normal. Soybean condition was rated 64 percent good to excellent, 29 percent fair and 7 percent poor to very poor.
Peanuts planted reached 95 percent, up 1 point from the previous year but unchanged from normal. Peanut conditions are rated 74 percent good to excellent and 26 percent fair.
Cotton squaring reached 10 percent, up 1 point from the previous year but down 6 points from normal. Cotton condition was rated 53 percent good to excellent, 35 percent fair and 12 percent poor to very poor.
Hay:
The first cutting of alfalfa hay reached 95 percent, up 1 point from the previous year and up 3 points from normal. The second cutting of alfalfa hay reached 50 percent, up 2 points from the previous year but down 5 points from normal. The first cutting of other hay reached 77 percent, up 1 point from the previous year but unchanged from normal. The second cutting of other hay reached 3 percent, up 3 points from the previous year.
Pasture and Livestock:
Pasture and range condition was rated at 48 percent good to excellent, 27 percent fair and 24 percent poor to very poor. Livestock condition was rated 65 percent good to excellent, 28 percent fair and 7 percent poor to very poor.

Kansas:
Winter wheat harvest is at 59 percent, up 19 points from the average and 22 points from the previous year. Winter wheat conditions rated 29 percent good to excellent, 32 percent fair and 39 percent poor to very poor.
Corn emerged was at 96 percent, 2 points below last year and the average. Silking was at 9 percent, two points above last year and equal to the average. Corn conditions rated 59 percent good to excellent, 30 percent fair and 11 percent poor to very poor.
Soybeans planted were at 92 percent, 2 points below last year and the average. Soybeans emerged were at 82 percent, 3 points below last year and 4 points below the average. Soybean blooming is at 1 percent, behind last year's 13 percent and the average of 7 percent. Soybean conditions rated 65 percent good to excellent, 30 percent fair and 5 percent poor to very poor.
Sorghum planted was at 87 percent, 6 points behind last year and 4 points behind the average. Sorghum headed was 2 percent, equal to average. Sorghum conditions were rated 54 percent good to excellent, 38 percent fair and 8 percent poor to very poor.
Cotton squaring was at 28 percent, equal to last year and 9 points ahead of the average. The cotton condition was rated 40 percent good to excellent, 57 percent fair and 3 percent poor to very poor.
Pasture and range conditions:
Pasture and range conditions rated 44 percent good to excellent, 29 percent fair and 27 percent poor to very poor.

Texas:
Winter wheat harvested is at 80 percent, up 7 percent from the previous year and 1 percent from the average. Winter wheat conditions rated 5 percent good to excellent, 12 percent fair and 83 percent poor to very poor.
Corn silked is at 70 percent, up 4 percent from the previous year and 10 percent from normal. Corn conditions are rated 24 percent good to excellent, 38 percent fair and 38 percent poor to very poor.
Sorghum headed reached 60 percent, down 1 point from last year and up one point from the average. Sorghum condition is rated 20 percent good to excellent, 38 percent fair and 42 percent poor to very poor.
Peanuts reached 95 percent planted, up 6 points from the previous year and up on e point from the average. Peanut conditions are rated 30 percent good to excellent, 49 percent fair and 21 percent poor to very poor.
Cotton squaring reached 29 percent, up one point from the previous year and the average. Cotton conditions are rated 17 percent good to excellent, 37 percent fair and 46 percent poor to very poor.
Range and Pasture Conditions:
Range and pasture conditions rated 7 percent good to excellent, 18 percent fair and 75 percent poor to very poor.
