NCF Announces Launch of NGLI Application Period

Wed, 06 Jul 2022 12:57:16 CDT

NCF Announces Launch of NGLI Application Period The National Conservation Foundation (NCF) announced the opening of the application period for the Next Generation Leadership Institute (NGLI) 2023 cohort.
NGLI is an NCF program aimed to equip conservation district leaders with the tools to become national leaders. Upon completion of the program, participants will fulfill their potential to be the trusted voice of locally-led conservation efforts from the local to the national level. The program will train seven applicants over the course of 2023, with one participant selected from each of the National Association of Conservation Districts' (NACD) regions.
"The NCF has championed the development of future leaders of conservation since its inception," NCF President Van Dyke said. "We are excited to formally launch the NGLI application process for the upcoming program year and look forward to working side-by-side with the next cohort of participants to advance conservation leadership."
During the year-long NGLI program, the cohort of conservation district officials will be prepared for leadership at the local, state, and national level through several in-person trainings focused on personal, civic, and organizational leadership development.
"With this comprehensive training, participants will rise to meet the future needs of natural resources management," NCF Executive Director Jeremy Peters said. "By increasing their leadership capacity to navigate and manage complex conservation challenges, NGLI participants will develop skills to be the future leaders of locally-led conservation."
Applications for the 2023 cohort and payment must be received by Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. To learn more about previous cohorts and the opportunities this program offers, visit the NGLI webpage
