Compared to last week: Extreme heat along with no rain produced a higher-than-normal receipt total. However, a much lower undertone is noted on both steers and heifers. Demand good. Quality good thru attractive. Slaughter cows 12.00-16.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 14.00 lower. Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (42% Steers, 43% Heifers, 15% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (94% Cows, 6% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (18% Bred Heifers, 82% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 18%.
