Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers lightly tested, as bulk of the sale was calves. Feeder cattle and calves sold 4.00-8.00 higher, instance to 15.00 higher on calves. Demand very good for all classes. Quality average to attractive. Temperatures remain very hot, however chances of rain are back in the forecast and cooler temps on the way. Outlook continues to show bullish indicators. Slaughter cattle sold higher last week and at 140.00 in the South and 144.00-148.00 in the North. Percent of cattle today over 600 lbs. is still limited and many of those cattle weighed 600-700 lbs. and not very many heavier. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 47% Heifers, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 45%.
