Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live on December 15th from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, Texas. Cattle producers offered over 33,650 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock from 22 states for this auction. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through September 2023. Superior Livestock went live with the auction at 8 a.m. CDT. The December 15th Video Auction was broadcast in HD on SLA-TV, Dish Network Ch. 997 and streamed on Superior Livestock Auction’s Click to Bid website. Region 3/4/5/6 Feeder Steers opened the auction on a higher trend with aggressive bidding on all weights at $4 to $7 higher. Feeder Heifers were no surprise following suit at $4 to $10 higher. Regions 1 & 2 also had a good offering of Feeder Steers and Heifers demanding prices $5 to $12 higher than our last auction. Beef Dairy Crosses also found higher levels $10 to $12 dollars higher than our last auction. Weaned calves in regions 1 & 2 were in strong demand with moisture over much of the winter grazing areas. We witnessed prices on light calves $15 to $20 higher. Region 3/4/5/6 also ranged higher at levels $5 to $10 higher with some moving out at $20 higher. |
