Rep. Josh West, R-Grove, today commented on leaving his role as majority leader for the House of Representatives.
“It has been a privilege to serve as the majority leader for the last four years, and I am thankful for the trust that was placed in me.
“Two of the most important traits of a good leader are strong character and integrity, and I’m proud that I’ve maintained my integrity during my tenure as majority leader.
“We will elect a new speaker-designate next year, who will begin service in 2025, and it is necessary that we give other members leadership experience as we prepare for this transition.”
