The Made in Oklahoma Coalition (MIO) invites Oklahomans to join us in supporting and celebrating all things local by attending the inaugural MIO Market at Scissortail Park on Sunday, June 9th from 10:00am – 3:00pm. This free festival will highlight over 40 Oklahoma-made vendors who will be sampling and selling their products all-day long.
The Made in Oklahoma Market at Scissortail Park is a family friendly festival that is open to the public and free to attend. In addition to the robust selection of Made in Oklahoma products, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy live music from the Red Dirt Rangers, play a variety of yard games, and explore a great selection of local food trucks. Throughout the day, the MIO Coalition will host giveaways of Made in Oklahoma products and will have a free gift for the first 500 attendees.
Established over 20 years ago, MIO has been promoting Oklahoma-made food and beverage products, contributing to the growth and diversification of the state’s food supply chain. With over 100 local food and beverage companies as members, the mission of the coalition is to build brand awareness and consumer loyalty for locally made products. This event not only promotes local businesses but also encourages Oklahomans to support their neighbors and strengthen the local economy.
“When you make the choice to spend your dollars on a locally-made product, you are not only choosing to support your neighbor, but your dollar has a ripple effect that goes far beyond what you might think,” said Emily Shuping, Executive Director of the Made in Oklahoma Coalition. “Our goal is to make it easy for Oklahomans to support local companies wherever they shop, eat, and play.”
