As a continued commitment to its dealers, customers, and local communities, Kubota Tractor Corporation announced 20 grant recipients in its fourth annual Kubota Hometown Proud® grant program aimed at providing support across the country for local nonprofit organizations and their unique initiatives.
This year, the company is proud to announce that the Bristow Town Square Renovation, nominated by the Bristow Historical Society, Inc., and supported by local Kubota dealer Kubota Center of Tulsa, is one of those winners. Each of the 20 hometown projects now goes up for a public vote,* and the project with the most votes in each district will turn its $10,000 grant into a $50,000 grant.
Nestled in central Oklahoma, the rural community of Bristow is home to 4,000 people who love history. Local donations have repaired much of Town Square, but funding from the Kubota grant will add permanent seating and historic plaques to share the community’s connection to Route 66 – and early Oklahoma history – for all to enjoy. This beautiful open-air structure offers a shady, safe place for concerts, festivals and anyone who wants to enjoy the small town of Bristow and its family-run businesses. Upon completion, the towering glass-tile Town Square structure will be the focal point of
Bristow’s Main Street.
With a $10,000 Kubota grant, the Bristow Historical Society will purchase and install heavy duty seating in the Town Square to replace the decades old, unsafe wooden benches. Should they win the $50,000 grant, project organizers will add additional seating and permanent historic plaques, all before the 100th anniversary of Route 66 in 2026 when large crowds of tourists are expected as they travel the Mother Road.
Vote Daily for More Chances to WIN
From now until August 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CT, the public is encouraged to visit KubotaHometownProud.com and rally for their hometown project by casting a vote for one of the 20 community projects. Every vote submitted will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes* for the chance to win a Kubota residential Z200 Series zero-turn mower or BX Series sub-compact tractor.
Voters can make their selections once per day to increase their odds of winning. The community projects
with the most votes will be announced in September.
