2024 Net Farm Income for U.S. Agriculture is Down An Estimated $55.61 Billion
That’s a 27% drop from 2022. Commodity market prices have fallen roughly 25% while total production costs remain near record-level highs. Interest rates are at the highest level seen in 40 years. According to most producers, “Breaking even isn’t event a part of the conversation anymore.” Farm country is suffering. We need a strong safety net in 2024 and economic assistance to bridge the gap.
