Since 1980, the Governor’s Water Conference has been the go-to event in water policy and science in Oklahoma. Each year, hundreds of attendees gather to hear from local and national water resources officials, scientists, authors, and trailblazers. This year, we want to hear from you.
The OWRB is looking to fill four 20-minute slots at our 1:30 p.m. Water Conference session on November 19, 2024. Presentations should focus on technology and innovations in water management, such as new developments in and practical uses of artificial intelligence, automation, drones, and sensors in any/all water use sectors. Anyone interested in sharing their experiences and ideas may submit a presentation proposal no later than Friday, October 11, 2024.
The Oklahoma Governor’s Water Conference and Research Symposium is held annually to bring together experts in Oklahoma water policy and science from federal, state, and local agencies and organizations, as well as state and federal officials, industry leaders, and students. The event attracts hundreds of water officials, researchers, and others who share an avid interest in Oklahoma’s water resources management, development, and protection. Current water issues, policies, and research are discussed by state, federal, and local experts. The Student Research Water Poster Competition, held concurrently, offers students from any institution of higher learning in Oklahoma the opportunity to share research or extension/outreach topics related to water resources in Oklahoma.
