🔥Wind, Hail, Fires & Severe Weather all Possible Today🔥

Oklahoma always provides interesting weather for Oklahoma. In the past we have seen Ice Storms the week of Halloween, and then the next year triple digit temps, so today’s forecast is not too out of the normal. According to State Climatologist Gary McManus a storm system is headed this way, “We’ll have a storm system moving through the Southern Plains with a surface low just to our north dragging a dryline and cold front through the state. Behind that dryline, bigtime wildfire concerns.” Fire danger & severe threat will max out later today. The severe threat will continue into the evening.

McManus says in front of the dryline we could see the possibility of strong tornados in certain parts of the state.

The good news is that this front might provide a little bit of rain, just unfortunate that it might also bring severe weather.

After the front moves through McManus says Temps will drop below freezing up in the far Northwest Oklahoma behind that cold front, “So an eventful 24 hours coming up! And that’s AFTER record-setting high minimum temps this morning, although I guess those could be wiped out when the cold front moves through (i.e., our low temps could come right before midnight in some parts of Oklahoma).”

McManus says the Halloween Forecast for Trick-Or-Treaters should be nice and seasonal, and after Halloween we could see More rain and severe weather into the weekend. Some Locations could see two to four inches by Tuesday Night.

According to McManus the Threat for Sunday looks like hail and high winds, but a low risk of tornadoes.
