According to the Latest Crop Progress Report, Rain Sets Cotton Harvest Back

US Crop Progress Report:

Winter Wheat Planted reached 94 percent, equal to the previous year, but down 2 points from the average. Winter Wheat Emerged reached 84 percent, down 1 point from a year ago but equal to the five-year average. Winter wheat conditions rated 49 percent good to excellent, 36 percent fair, and 15 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 44 percent good to excellent, 38 percent fair, and 18 percent poor to very poor.

The National Corn harvest is complete.

The National Soybean harvest is complete.

Cotton harvested reached 77 percent, up 3 points from a year ago and 5 points from the average.

Sorghum harvested reached 95 percent, equal to a year ago and up 1 from the average.

Oklahoma Crop Progress Report:

Winter wheat planted reached 90 percent, down 4 points from the previous year and 6 points from the five-year average. Winter wheat emerged reached 75 percent, down 11 points from the previous year and 12 points from normal. Winter wheat conditions rated 37 percent good to excellent, 25 percent fair, and 18 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 28 percent good to excellent, 50 percent fair, and 22 percent poor to very poor.

The Oklahoma Corn harvest is complete.

Sorghum harvested reached 88 percent, down 1 point from a year ago and the average.

Soybeans harvested reached 70 percent, down 4 points from a year ago and 1 from the average.

Cotton harvested reached 57 percent, down 13 percentage points from a year ago and 8 from the average.

Livestock conditions rated 57 percent good to excellent, 29 percent fair, and 14 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 48 percent good to excellent, 35 percent fair, and 17 percent poor to very poor.

Pasture and range conditions rated 12 percent good to excellent, 34 percent fair, and 54 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 10 percent good to excellent, 33 percent fair, and 57 percent poor to very poor.

Kansas Winter wheat planting is complete. Winter wheat emerged was 91 percent, up 1 point from last year, but up 5 points from the average. Winter wheat conditions rated 49 percent good to excellent, 39 percent fair, and 11 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 40 percent good to excellent, 37 percent fair, and 23 percent poor to very poor.

Winter wheat conditions rated 47 percent good to excellent, 31 percent fair, and 22 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 33 percent good to excellent, 33 percent fair, and 34 percent poor to very poor

Cotton harvested reached 72 percent, up 7 points from the previous year and 8 from the average.
