This week, President-Elect Donald Trump announced the nomination of Brooke Rollins for the position of Secretary of Agriculture. The U.S. Cattlemen’s Association (USCA) congratulates Rollins on this significant nomination.

“USCA is dedicated to advancing policies that ensure the prosperity and health of our nation’s ranchers and agricultural sector and the USDA remains at the center of those conversations,” USCA President Justin Tupper said. “We look forward to getting to know Secretary of Agriculture-elect Rollins as she moves through the confirmation process.”

As a Texan, Rollins brings an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing our agricultural communities, particularly ranchers.  USCA anticipates her background and commitment to agriculture will benefit the Department of Agriculture.

“We look forward to the leadership Rollins will bring and her dedication to supporting agricultural communities nationwide. USCA is optimistic about her ability to champion issues that are critical to the future of agriculture in America,” Tupper concluded.
