Empowering the Future of Farming: Taranis Unveils Innovative Ag Assistant Tool

Taranis hosted its annual Media Day this week welcoming ag producers, media, and others. The company, known for its commitment to innovative agricultural solutions, welcomed journalists eager to learn about the latest advancements in farming technology. Sarah Rang, the director of marketing, stood ready to guide the event.

The focus of the discussion was Taranis’s latest innovation—the Ag Assistant tool. This AI-powered crop intelligence device promised to revolutionize the way agronomists approach farming by providing instant, field-specific reports based on historical data and current external conditions. Growers can now make informed decisions swiftly, optimizing their productivity and profits.

The advanced GenAI-powered agronomy solution processes a vast array of agronomic data, including leaf-level insights, weather patterns, research reports, and more to deliver precise, timely insights and recommendations that maximize customers’ productivity and profitability.

Jason Minton, the Chief Commercial Officer of Taranis, hosted the meeting. With over two decades of experience in agriculture, Jason’s passion for the industry shone through as he discussed the challenges farmers faced—labor shortages, market volatility, and supply chain disruptions.

A panel of agronomists and farmers including Tyler Tobald, of JTAC Farms, Trevor Cox, of ACS Regional Manager at Central Valley Ag (CVA), and Glen Franzluebbers, Director of Professional Ag Services at Central Valley Ag (CVA), shared their experiences with the Ag Assistant. Tobald recounted a time when he was struggling with pest management and how the tool provided him with immediate insights, saving his crop and profits. Others joined in, sharing stories of how the technology had transformed their operations, from reducing labor hours to increasing yields. Watch the video to learn more!
