Are you interested in buying half a beef for your freezer AND supporting a local kid who raised it at the same time? Thursday, February 20 we will be hosting a free steak dinner, contest, and beef auction. Bring your checkbook and bid on beef. With 22 sides of beef up for auction, you’re sure to find something you’ll want.
ELEVEN local Okfuskee County youth are competing in the Okfuskee County Cattleman’s Association (OCCA) Carcass Contest this year. The coveted belt buckle, cash prizes, and awards will be presented after everyone enjoys a FREE dinner, provided by OCCA. Following the awards ceremony and presentation on the grades of beef, we will hold our annual beef auction, where attendees can bid and make donations for the available TWENTY-TWO sides of beef.
* RingMaster House of Meats, LLC in Bristow, will be processing the beef. Buyers are responsible for the processing costs and pick-up
GoBob Pipe & Steel – America’s Farm & Ranch Equipment is donating a $1300 Hay Conserver to go up for auction too that night. I talked to Mr. Bob yesterday, and he is excited to promote the Carcass Contest further by raising extra funds for scholarships and prizes for local youth producers. This is such a great partnership with GoBob and OCCA.
