South American Buyers Credit USW Seminar with Helping them Learn More About the Benefits of U.S. Wheat

In the Recent US Wheat Letter Blog, More than 50 wheat buyers from Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru attended a Purchasing and Risk Management Seminar conducted by U.S. Wheat Associates (USW). The seminar was part of an ongoing effort by USW’s Santiago Office to provide buyers with better tools and knowledge to help make purchasing decisions.

“We see it as an opportunity to promote the benefits of the different classes of U.S. wheat, while also building partnerships and create interest in combined cargoes between different milling companies in the region,” USW Regional Director Miguel Galdos explained. The event was held in late May in Lima, Peru.

A video produced on the seminar features several U.S. wheat customers. The video includes words from Juan Carlos Henao, General Manager of Harinera del Valle in Colombia, who expresses his appreciation for USW’s work.

“The contributions of U.S. Wheat Associates is important when it comes to training and information, especially in helping us understand the different varieties of wheat grown in the U.S.,” Henao explained. “The more information and guidance we receive, the more we benefit.”
