Service Oklahoma Offers Back-to-School After-Hours Driver Services

Service Oklahoma is expanding access to driver services with after-hours appointments available the week of August 11–16 at select locations across the state.

The Backpacks & Boarding Passes event is designed to help Oklahomans prepare for the busy back-to-school season and upcoming fall travel plans by offering convenient evening and weekend appointments for driver license and REAL ID services. Whether you’re getting a teen ready for school or planning an upcoming flight, now is the time to check your ID and driver license needs off your list.

Driver services offered include REAL ID, written tests, drive tests and other driver license and ID needs. REAL ID is a federally compliant form of identification that is required for domestic air travel as of May 7, 2025.

All after-hours appointments must be scheduled in advance. Monday through Friday appointments will be available from 6–8 p.m., and Saturday appointments will be available from 1–5 p.m.

Appointments will be available at the following locations:

  • Chickasha (1701 Frisco Ave.)
  • Hinton (1802 N Broadway St.)
  • Muskogee (1806 N York St.)
  • OKC Classen (6015 N. Classen Blvd., Building 4)
  • Stillwater (111 West McElroy Rd.)
  • The Farm in Tulsa (6570 E. 51st St.)

“We know that back-to-school season and the busy fall months can make schedules especially hectic,” said Diedra O’Neil, Chief Executive of Strategy & Operations at Service Oklahoma. “By offering service options outside the standard workday, we’re giving Oklahomans more flexibility to take care of things like a teen’s drive test or getting a REAL ID ahead of fall travel plans.”

Service Oklahoma also continues to offer after-hours appointments for REAL ID services on Mondays and Wednesdays at select locations. Customers can also check current wait times and get in line before arriving for walk-in service using the online waitlist tool at service.ok.gov/locations.

Saturday walk-in service is also available through October during Seasonal Saturdays, offered from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations: Broken Arrow, OKC Classen, OKC I-240 and The Farm in Tulsa.

Need a REAL ID?
Starting May 7, 2025, a REAL ID or valid passport is required to fly domestically or enter certain federal buildings. You can identify a REAL ID by the gold star in the top right corner. Learn more and find out what documents you need to apply at service.ok.gov/REALID.
