Boxed beef prices were mixed Wednesday afternoon, with Choice slipping $0.09 to $390.49/cwt while Select climbed $2.32 to $367.96/cwt. The Choice/Select spread narrowed to $22.53, down $2.41 from the previous day. Load count totaled 104, nearly unchanged. On the primal side, the Round led gains, jumping $4.34 to $344.51, followed closely by the Chuck at $337.02, up $4.30—both marking new all-time highs for 2025. The Rib held steady at $579.35. On the downside, the Loin dropped $9.03 to $492.26, and the Brisket fell $9.98 to $329.86. Flank and Plate values were mixed, with Flank down $2.75 and Plate up $1.97.
