OKC West Tuesday Calf Trade Saw Best Quality Calves Sell Well

At OKC West on Tuesday for their Calf run- they had 2,500 head. Compared to last week: Steer calves unevenly steady. Heifer calves over 500lbs unevenly steady, under 500lbs 3.00-5.00 higher. Quality was
the primary factor driving the unevenness in today’s market. Calves with the description Value-Added are unweaned and fancy from reputation ranches and sold very well. Unweaned calves carrying good flesh condition sold steady to slightly higher, while those with less desirable flesh condition traded noticeably lower.

As for the Wednesday yearling trade at OKC West- they are expecting 4,500 head- 1,800 heifers and then 2,700 feeder steers
