
The National Sorghum Producers board of directors announced new members following its annual board and budget meeting.
Joining the NSP board are:
- Jim Sipes, Manter, Kansas – A fifth-generation farmer and Kansas Farm Bureau board member, Sipes operates a diversified farm and recently became a grandfather to the seventh generation of the family operation.
- David Drinnon, Vega, Texas – General Manager of Nufarm’s North American Seed business with a background in accounting and finance, Drinnon has decades of leadership in the seed industry and agricultural organizations.
- John Browning, Plainview, Texas – President of Browning Seed, Browning is known for his faith, dedication to his family, and commitment to serving his customers and employees.
The NSP board recognized the service of Kent Martin and Doug Kessling, whose terms ended Sept. 30, expressing deep appreciation for their leadership and contributions to the sorghum industry.
Larry Richardson will continue to serve on the NSP board in an ex officio capacity.
“We are honored to welcome Jim, David and John to the NSP board,” NSP Chair Amy France said. “Their experience and passion for agriculture will help guide our industry through the challenges and opportunities ahead. At the same time, we are grateful to Kent and Doug for their years of service and leadership, and we look forward to continuing to benefit from Larry’s counsel in his ex officio role.”
