Choice closed at $366.82, down $1.46 from Wednesday’s $368.28, while Select finished at $351.05, down $4.46 from $355.51. The Choice/Select spread widened to 15.77, compared to 12.77 on Wednesday. Choice was also down $4.66 from the previous Friday.
Across the primals, Friday levels were mixed compared to Wednesday. The rib moved from $645.88 to $637.12, while the chuck rose slightly from $292.28 to $293.89. The round held nearly steady at $295.91 compared to $295.98, and the loin eased from $481.38 to $476.98. Brisket increased from $319.48 to $325.60, while the plate declined from $250.23 to $247.01, and the flank slipped from $181.94 to $179.94.
