The American Soybean Association (ASA) is pleased to announce key updates within its Industry Relations team. Yesterday, Tracy Snider was promoted to Executive Director of State & Industry Relations and Michelle Hummel was promoted to Senior Director of Industry & Stakeholder Relations. Both Snider and Hummel are based in the ASA St. Louis office. Additionally, Kate Maher will join ASA as Director of State & Industry Relations on Jan. 5 in the Washington, D.C., office.
Snider brings more than 25 years of agriculture leadership experience, including roles in state relations, industry partnerships, business development, and communications. Since joining ASA as Senior Manager of State Relations, she has strengthened collaboration with 26 state soybean associations, expanded strategic industry partnerships, and supported organization-wide initiatives that advance ASA’s priorities.
Hummel, who has been with ASA for more than 12 years, oversees ASA’s education and collaboration projects with USB and also manages a broad portfolio of industry partners. She leads Innovation to Market Work Group, Farmer Forum, and multiple cross-functional initiatives, bringing deep organizational knowledge and program leadership to ASA’s Industry Relations work.
Maher joins ASA with more than two decades of national agricultural association experience, including senior positions in member engagement, affiliate relations, and communications. She has held leadership roles at the American Peanut Council, the U.S. Meat Export Federation, and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, with a strong record of building member value and industry collaboration.
“Tracy has proven herself as an exceptional leader for ASA, bringing strategic insight, strong relationships, and deep commitment to our state partners and industry stakeholders,” said Stephen Censky, ASA CEO. “We are also pleased to recognize Michelle, whose steady leadership and deep experience continue to strengthen ASA’s programs and partnerships. And we are equally excited to welcome Kate, whose extensive experience in member engagement and national affiliate leadership will be a tremendous asset as we continue expanding ASA’s industry relations efforts.”
Snider will oversee ASA’s state and industry relations team in overall strategy and partnerships, while Hummel will continue leading key programs and corporate engagement initiatives. Maher will support national engagement efforts with state associations, industry stakeholders, and allied organizations.
