
Boxed beef moved lower on Wednesday, December 24, extending the recent decline, with the Choice cutout slipping to $354.62, down $1.15 on the day and $8.25 over the last two sessions. Select also weakened, falling $3.84 to $345.75, which widened the Choice–Select spread to $8.87.
Compared to Tuesday, the rib saw the largest drop, sliding to $533.35 from $560.47, while the loin eased slightly to $445.68. The chuck and round moved higher, rising to $316.61 and $304.07, respectively. Brisket was modestly higher at $316.36, while the plate slipped to $229.92 and the flank edged up to $162.10. Total loads reported Wednesday were 118, down from 138 on Tuesday.
