State Veterinarian Dr. Rod Hall is offering several resources for livestock producers and pet owners to help them fully prepare for the coldest weather Oklahoma will have experienced since 2024- which will be coupled with snow, sleet and ice this weekend. Dr. Hall says that Thursday offers a full day to get your preparations all in place for falling temps and snow that is predicted to happen. Forecasters are saying the storm will begin to arrive as early as Friday morning and continue into Sunday.

Below is a graphic(in PDF) that Dr. Hall has shared with us that comes from the Center for Food Security at Iowa State University that offers excellent advice in how to get ready and ride through the cold conditions.
