A Pair of Oklahoma Youth Cash in Big At National Western Premium Sale in Denver

The spotlight shone bright on Oklahoma livestock exhibitors at the 2026 National Western Stock Show in Denver, where the state’s junior agriculturalists once again proved they are among the elite in the nation. A pair of Oklahoma youth made the top end of the Premium sale of market animals in Denver in their brand new auction facility as Sayde Allen of Canute and Hadlie Bell of Bristow had three of the top eight animals sold Friday night.

Bristow FFA’s Hadlie Bell had the second best Steer in the Denver show- and her Reserve Grand Champion steer, a 1,429-pound entry named “Mile High,” sold for $125,000 during the auction held on January 23, 2026.

It was a historic week for Sayde Allen of Canute FFA as the string of animals that she hauled to Denver yielded two of the four Grand Champions in the Market Animal Show- the Grand Champion Market Lamb and the Grand Champion Market Goat. Her payday on Friday Night at the Premium sale started with a $55,000 bid on her Grand Champion Lamb. The final of the Grands that were brought into the sale was Allen’s Grand Champion Goat- he brought $40,000.

There were several other high placing Oklahoma Youth in the Junior Breeding Show as well:

JPV Miss Spicy 561N ET exhibited by Rholton and Rhiata Bouziden, Waynoka, Okla., was the Grand Champion Hereford polled female.

Grand champion PB/Percentage female American Aberdeen open- Connor Somers, Lindsay, Oklahoma

In the collegiate contests, the Oklahoma State University Meat Judging Team Won as the Champion Team The Reserve Champion JUCO Livestock Judging Team was the Redlands Community College team out of El Reno, Oklahoma.
