Ochsner Limousin, Kersey, Colo. exhibited the Grand Champion Pen of Limousin bulls. The champion pen included February and March 2024 born bulls. They combined for an average weight of 1123 pounds with an average weight per day of age of 3.50. All pen bulls were ultrasound scanned at check-in time. This champion pen had average actual scan data of 15.08 ribeye area, 2.85% IMF, and 0.27 back fat.
The Reserve Champion Pen of Limousin Bulls was exhibited by Symens Brothers Limousin, Amherst, S.D. The March 2024 born pen had an average weight of 1113 pounds with a 3.74 average weight per day of age. Their average ultrasound scan data was 16.08 ribeye area, 2.62% IMF, and 0.22 back fat.
Wulf Cattle, Morris, Minn. won the People’s Choice Champion Limosuin Pen award with their January and February 2024 born pen. They combined for an average weight of 1298 pounds with an average weight per day of age of 3.73. All pen bulls were ultrasound scanned at check-in time. The pen had average actual scan data of 15.23 ribeye area, 2.83% IMF, and 0.26 back fat.
Hager Cattle Company, Karlsruhe, N.D., exhibited the Grand Champion Pen of LimFlex Bulls. The February and March 2024 born pen had an average weight of 1153 pounds with a 3.65 average weight per day of age. Their ultrasound scan data averaged 14.88 ribeye area, 2.92% IMF, and 0.27 back fat.
Hager Cattle Company also won the People’s Choice Champion Lim-Flex Pen award with their February and March 2024 born pen.
Reserve Champion Pen of Lim-Flex Bulls was exhibited by Reynolds Land & Cattle, Sanford, Colo. The reserve champion was a February and March 2024 born pen with a combined average weight of 1228 with a 3.74 average weight per day of age. The pen had average actual scan data of 14.21 ribeye area, 2.82% IMF, and 0.34 back fat.
