Jacey Duncan Named Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year

Jacey

Mrs. Duncan teaches at Oklahoma Union Public Schools and is a great advocate for Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom. She incorporates agriculture into her science classroom and has received many grants to bring learning to a new level!! She also shares her knowledge with other teachers throughout the state and nation by teaching workshops at our state and national AITC conferences.

“One of Jacey’s most remarkable qualities is her commitment to fostering curiosity and critical thinking in her students. She does not just teach the basics of horticulture; she encourages her students to ask questions, explore different view points, and understand the global impact of agriculture. Whether she is guiding students in planting their first garden or speaking at the National Ag in the Classroom Conference, Jacey’s dedication to enriching her students’ understanding of the agricultural world is evident in all that she does,” shared Mrs. Duncan’s principal, Levi Robbins.

Jacey will be recognized at Ag Day at the State Capitol on April 22nd and also receive an all-expense paid trip to the 2025 National Ag in the Classroom Conference in Minneapolis, MN sponsored by the Oklahoma Soybean Board and the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee. Congratulations!!! 🎉
