
The 2025 Hemphill County Beef Conference, held on April 29-30, 2025, had
another successful year, reaching 865 participants from across the globe. The conference took
place at the Jones Pavilion in Canadian, Texas, and welcomed attendees from 24 states and four
countries: Australia, Ireland, Canada, and South Africa.
This annual event is well known for educational seminars, networking opportunities, and insights
into the latest in beef production and agricultural innovations. Year after year, the conference
solidifies its place as one of the top beef industry conferences in the nation. Andy Holloway,
Hemphill County Extension Agent, stated, “We are delighted with the growth and international
reach of the Hemphill County Beef Conference; the diverse representation from many states and
countries proves just how important and far-reaching this conference has become.”
The 2025 conference featured diverse speakers and panels, including experts in beef cattle
production, meteorologists, veterinarians, forage and land management experts, marketing
trends, and a renowned keynote speaker, Dan Owolabi. Attendees had the opportunity to engage
with these industry professionals, learn from their extensive research and expertise, and explore
solutions to their challenges in the beef industry.
Over the last 10 years, Holloway and his team have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of
this event, proving their ongoing commitment to Hemphill County and the beef industry.
“We aren’t done yet,” Holloway said. “We’ve built something truly special with the Hemphill
County Beef Conference; looking ahead, we’re excited for the next 10 years of serving the beef
industry, continuing to grow, and providing valuable insights through this annual two-day
