Boxed beef made another big jump on Thursday, with Choice cutout up $3.30 to $393.79 and Select down $1.08 to $366.88, widening the spread to $26.91. This brings the Choice cutout $32.47 higher for the month. The Chuck and Round primals each hit new highs for 2025, with the Chuck at $338.69 (up $1.67 from Wednesday) and the Round at $350.79 (up $6.28). Other primals compared to Wednesday included the Rib at $586.90 (+$7.55), Loin at $492.20 (-$0.06), Brisket at $331.59 (+$1.73), Plate at $274.62 (+$6.65), and Flank at $230.40 (+$0.29).
