Cotton Board Hires Laura Ehret as Vice President of Program Information

The Cotton Board is pleased to announce the hiring of Laura Ehret as Vice President of Program Information, effective August 25. In this role, Ehret will oversee the organization’s communications division, guiding efforts to keep cotton producers, importers, and industry partners informed and engaged with the Cotton Research and Promotion Program.

“Laura brings a high level of experience, leadership, and vision to our organization,” said Bill Gillon, President & CEO of The Cotton Board. “She has already impressed us with her strategic approach and her ideas for strengthening our communications efforts. Her role will be vital not only in shaping the Cotton Research & Promotion Program’s outreach to our stakeholders, but also in helping ensure greater alignment across all national cotton organizations. A cohesive, consistent message is critical as we work to restore profitability and confidence in the industry.”

Ehret grew up on a cotton farm near Gadsden, Alabama, giving her a strong personal connection to the
challenges and opportunities facing cotton producers today. Professionally, she brings a wide range of
communications and public relations experience, having most recently led communications efforts for
the Memphis Grizzlies and FedExForum. Throughout her tenure, Ehret also served in senior-level roles
for organizations including ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the National Basketball
Association, as well as an extensive agency career in the NASCAR space, serving a group of significant
brands in the American landscape.

“I am honored to join The Cotton Board and to bring my background in communications to serve an
industry that is so personal for me, having grown up in and around a cotton farm,” said Ehret. “This is
a pivotal time for the cotton industry, and I look forward to working alongside producers, importers,
and partner organizations to advance a clear, unified message for cotton’s future.”
