The Choice/Select spread narrowed to $22.13, and total loads moved increased to 131, compared with 99 the prior day. Choice has now fallen for 12 straight sessions, dropping a total of $33.96 during that stretch.
Among the primals, ribs eased to $629.54 versus $630.35 on Thursday, while chucks fell to $332.19 from $338.21. Rounds dropped to $328.13 from $333.26, and loins softened slightly to $465.84 versus $467.72. Briskets held nearly steady at $308.68 compared with $308.95 Thursday, while plates fell to $237.05 from $241.17, and flanks slipped to $223.87 from $224.96.
