Boxed beef prices were higher on Monday, marking only the second day of gains in the past 23 sessions. Choice cutout closed at $363.34, up $1.07, while Select ended at $347.97, up $2.59, bringing the Choice/Select spread to $15.37 on 143 loads.

Among the primals, compared to Friday, Ribs were down from $619.04 to $613.06, Chuck edged higher from $296.30 to $297.75, Round increased from $314.13 to $318.98, Loin was nearly steady at $452.69 versus $453.03, Brisket firmed slightly from $301.77 to $302.94, Plate rose from $219.18 to $223.12, and Flank eased from $209.10 to $208.26.
