October is the perfect time to get involved with Farm to School for the first time or expand your existing program by joining us for the Great Oklahoma Lunch Crunch!
In honor of National Food Day on October 24, 2025, Oklahoma Farm to School is hosting the second annual Great Oklahoma Lunch Crunch—a statewide celebration where cafeterias showcase Oklahoma-grown foods. Students enjoy a meal featuring local produce or meats, then join together for one big “crunch” into something fresh and healthy.
Participants who can’t celebrate on October 24th are encouraged to pick any day in October to host a lunch crunch.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone! While schools are the heart of the celebration, early care sites, colleges, hospitals, local businesses, nonprofits, agencies, producers, and even families at home are encouraged to join.
How It Works:
Official event: Friday, October 24 (but you can Crunch any time in October).
